Judy Costello

Judy Costello is currently Senior Director, Programs and Special Projects at The Safehaven Project for Community Living in Toronto. Prior to this role, Judy was a member of the IPAC mobile team at Safehaven.

In the fall of 2020, Judy retired from the position of Senior Clinical Director for Malignant Hematology, Blood Disorders and Palliative Care, at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre of the University Health Network (UHN) Toronto, ON. Over the course of 33 years, Judy held progressive leadership positions at the University Health Network in both operational and professional practice portfolios.

Judy holds a Bachelor of Nursing from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Toronto. She is cross-appointed to the Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto. In addition, Judy is a surveyor with Accreditation Canada.

She has presented locally, nationally and internationally on topics such as quality, systems improvement, patient centered care, pain management and professional practice structures and strategies that lead to improved outcomes.
