Angie Jeffs (RN, BScN, MN) obtained a Bachelor of Nursing Degree from Toronto Metropolitan (formerly Ryerson) University in 1989 and a Masters of Nursing degree from the University of Toronto in 1999. She has held various leadership roles over her 30-year nursing career, working in both community and teaching hospitals as a staff nurse, charge nurse, nurse educator and clinical coordinator. She has worked over half of her career as a Patient Care Manager primarily in acute care settings, managing both nurses as well as an inter-professional team which included physiotherapists, social work, respiratory therapists, dietitians, as well as frontline clerical and clinical support. She has managed a variety of critical care areas as well as her most recent position which included seven years with the Emergency Department at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center. Over the years, Angie has sat on and chaired a number of committees and has also presented at both local and international conferences. Most recently after her retirement, in assisting with the health care challenges around COVID-19, she came back to work as a member of the Clinical Operations team in managing the constructed mobile health unit as well as working as a Vaccinator in the Vaccine Clinic. She continues to work short-term contracts such as interim manager positions and supporting flu/covid clinics.
