Mental Health Topics in Advanced Practice Nursing

Over the course of the past several years, there has been a concerted effort on the part of clinicians, organizations, researchers, policies and programs, consumers and families to support and incorporate recovery-based best practices in the areas of mental health, addictions and concurrent disorders (i.e. co-occurring mental health and substance use problems). This has occurred as a result of increasing recognition of the importance of explicitly building recovery principles into theories, research and practices regarding the delivery of care. health and addictions assessment, treatment, and systems.
