My research focuses on fundamental care for critically ill ventilator-assisted patients.

Craig Dale RN PhD is an Associate Professor Emeritus at the Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing, University of Toronto (Canada), Scientist at the Tory Trauma Program, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre (Toronto), Editor for the Journal of Advanced Nursing, and member of the University of Toronto Centre for the Study of Pain (UTCSP). He has twenty-nine years of clinical nursing experience and national Canadian certification in adult critical care. His research seeks to improve the evidence base informing fundamental patient care for ventilator-assisted patients including oral hygiene, symptom management, communication interventions, and transitions in care.
