Intermediate Statistics for Health Sciences Research

This course will introduce graduate level students to intermediate statistical methods. We will apply intermediate statistical methods to research problems encountered in nursing and other health professions. The course will cover fundamentals of linear regression, logistic regression analysis, survival analyses, analysis of variance and an introduction to structural equation modeling. Students will also learn to use SPSS software. At the end of the course, students will be able to define and use the inferential statistics taught in this course, to analyze real data, interpret the results and present the data in a format suitable for peer-reviewed publication. This course will form foundations for more advanced courses.
