There were smiles all around at the 2025 pre-convocation receptions for Bloomberg Nursing BScN, MN, PMNP and doctoral graduates. Buoyed by the festive atmosphere of the U of T Faculty Club, new graduates celebrated with their family and friends, peers and faculty members.
Honoured guest speaker Dr. Leigh Chapman (PhD 2019) Canada’s Chief Nursing Officer shared words of inspiration and advice with Bloomberg Nursing’s newest graduates drawing on her more than 20 years of experience in the profession.
“You are graduating from Canada’s number 1 nursing school, and as an alumna myself, I can say with confidence that my time at U of T was so effective in instilling confidence in me, helping me believe that I was a nurse leader, and that I could make a difference,” said Chapman.
The celebrations also included speeches from Nursing Undergraduate Society President Lauren Mage, and Graduate Nurse’s Student Society President Shakila Khalkhali Ardestani as well as the recognition of outstanding student achievement with the presentation of the Dean’s medals.
Congratulations to our graduates and the Class of 2025.
