On October 2, 2012, first-year Bachelor of Nursing (BScN) students arrived bright and early for a bite of breakfast and a chance to chat with Dean Nelson. The student lounge was packed with an enthusiastic crowd of undergraduates, eager to share their academic history and what inspired them to join U of T Faculty of Nursing. Stories ranged from students who discovered their passion for nursing while travelling abroad, to students working in a local setting and seeing the difference they can make through nursing. All of them shared a desire to help people and credited nursing as the way they could achieve this goal, and made a difference in healthcare.
