Manager, Program Services Inpatient and Outpatient Spinal Cord Rehab, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute – UHN, Lyndhurst Centre 

April completed a Biomedical Sciences degree from Western University and a BScN and Masters of Nursing (MN) from University of Toronto. She has practiced as a Transplant Nurse in acute care at Toronto General Hospital, and became a Clinical Educator in general surgery and cardiology. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked in one of the most vulnerable areas of our health care system, Long-Term Care as Manager, Advanced Practice Nurse at the City of Toronto. During this time, receiving awards for innovation for introduction of effective IPAC practices.  Currently she is a Program Manager in Rehabilitation previously within inpatient stroke and Staffing Resource Team and currently with the inpatient and outpatient spinal cord rehab team at Lyndhurst Centre, UHN.
