Networking with Nurses: connecting students with alumni mentors

13 October 2017

The alumni mentors volunteered their time & wisdom to 2nd year students

Nearly 100 Bloomberg Nursing second year BScN students met with alumni mentors our Networking with Nurses event on October 3, 2017. The event connected students with U of T Nursing graduates who volunteered their time to share their career successes and challenges as well as wisdom and advice with the future nurses.

The event provided our students with the opportunity to be exposed to different viewpoints on the nursing profession and hear first-hand accounts of what they may experience as they embark on their careers. Throughout the afternoon, the room buzzed with voices sharing professional wisdom and planning for the future.

A big thank you to our mentors:

Sherri Bavly, BScN’14/RN, Hamilton Wentworth Detention Centre
