National Nursing Week: 2019

7 May 2019

May 6-10, 2019 is National Nursing Week (May 6-10) and all of us at Bloomberg Nursing are happy to celebrate and acknowledge nurses throughout the week. This year’s Nursing Week theme is A Voice to Lead – Health for All. Developed by the International Council of Nurses (ICN), this year’s theme reflects the fact that “every nurse has a story and every story has the potential to improve the health system and enable individuals and communities to achieve their highest attainable standard of health. From these insights comes the power for change.”

Every day, our students, alumni and faculty work hard to create better outcomes in healthcare, making a positive impact in the education of nurses, the practice of nursing and in the health of our communities. Throughout the week, we will celebrate the dedication and leadership of nurses everywhere, and express our gratitude for the impact they have on the communities in which they work and live.

We invite you – our students, faculty, staff, alumni and all Bloomberg Nursing community members – to celebrate nurses and nursing with us. Join us at one of our many events, participate in our social media contests, and tell us about a nursing leader who inspires you. Be sure to follow the Faculty’s TwitterFacebook and Instagram pages for Nursing Week stories, contests & photos.
