Faculty adds Global Health stream to NP program

18 July 2011

The Faculty is delighted to announce the College of Nurses of Ontario approved the Bloomberg Faculty Nurse Practitioner Global Health/Primary Health Care stream in the master of nursing program.

This innovative program was developed in response to student demand for a practice-focused global health graduate program. The Global Health NP program will offer students the opportunity to focus on global health issues with early immigrant and marginalized populations in Toronto, and to work with Aboriginal and First Nation communities in collaboration with our participating partners across Canada. This ground-breaking program commences in September 2011 and completes the full range of nurse practitioner programs (adult, pediatric, anaesthesia care and primary health care-global health) offered through the master of nursing and post-master diploma options at the Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing, University of Toronto.
