Dr. Martine Puts recipient of prestigious Paul Calabresi Award

Dr. Martine Puts has been selected as the 2018 recipient of the prestigious Paul Calabresi Award by the International Society of Geriatric Oncology. Dr.Puts is an Associate Professor and Director Master of Nursing Program at the Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing, University of Toronto. She currently holds a Canada Research Chair in Care of Frail Older Adults. Dr. Puts’ research interests are improving the health and well-being of older adults with cancer. She is co-PI on a multicentre randomized controlled  trial examining the clinical and cost-effectiveness of comprehensive geriatric assessment and management for older adults with cancer (the 5C study) which is currently recruiting older adults with cancer considered for cancer treatment in 8 hospitals across three provinces in Canada. She is one of the 4 founders of the Canadian Network of Aging and Cancer (CNAC).
