Bloomberg Nursing Professor Kelly Metcalfe is the recipient of the Rising Star Award through the Dean’s Alumni Awards from Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto. Dr. Metcalfe received this award in recognition of her exemplary career and research achievements. She has led and continues to lead numerous international studies which have informed the way in which hereditary breast cancer is prevented and treated. Dr. Metcalfe is an Adjunct Scientist at the Familial Breast Cancer Research Institute at the Women’s College Research Institute.
