Bloomberg Nursing Professor Doris Howell has been awarded the 2018 CAPO Award for Research Excellence. Nominated by her peers for this prestigious award, Dr. Howell was named this year’s recipient in recognition of her significant career contributions in psychosocial oncological research.
Dr. Howell has an extensive clinical background in cancer care. As a researcher, her main goal is to optimize the quality of cancer care and empower patients as co-producers of health and well-being. At Bloomberg Nursing, Dr. Howell developed the Clinical Nursing Stream – Oncology curriculum in the master’s program.
