The Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto ranked the #2 nursing school in the world and is the top nursing school in Canada, according to QS World University Rankings by Subject, released February 28, 2018.

“This recognition is a tremendous honour and achievement,” says Dean Linda Johnston. “Bloomberg Nursing is committed to excellence in education, world-class research and exemplary practice, and this ranking is a reflection of the excellence of our exceptional faculty, staff and students and the ways they come together to build upon our legacy as a global leader in nursing education, research and clinical practice. It is a testament to the outstanding education and training our students receive, which prepares them to advance health care in Canada and around the world.”

Overall, the University of Toronto continues to rise in international rankings, taking top 10 spots in eight subject areas in the 2018 QS World University Rankings by Subject.

The QS subject rankings are based on four measures: academic survey results of leading universities in a field, employer survey results of the best institutions and disciplines, citations per paper and the H-Index, which tries to measure the productivity and impact of the published work.
