Garnering international attention, applicants from around the globe expressed their interest in attending Bloomberg Nursing’s inaugural Emerging Scholars Forum. Over 55 PhD students and graduates from nine countries applied for the opportunity to receive an invitation and present their research, and network with the leading nurse scientists in Canada. The 26 new nurse researchers who were invited will meet at the Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing in November to discuss the paths to building a successful nursing research career in order to impact the future of health care delivery.
Bloomberg Nursing is widely recognized as a preeminent research-intensive facility that promotes education and scholarship in nursing. The Faculty created the Emerging Scholars Forum to support doctoral graduates embarking on their research career and create a strong network of nurse scientists. This two-day forum will shine a spotlight on the accomplishments and acclaim of attendees and provide a platform to propel the next generation of leading nurse researchers forward.
