Gail Donner Doctoral Nursing Fellowship (OTSS)

Awarded to avfull-time doctoral student in the Graduate Department of Nursing Science on the basis of academic merit and whose nursing career goals and program of study reflect a nursing administration/health policy focus. The student must also demonstrate financial need and reside in the province of Ontario. Apply to the Chair, Awards Committee, Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing.

Gail Donner Doctoral Nursing Fellowship (OTSS)

Awarded to a full-time doctoral student in the Graduate Department of Nursing Science on the basis of academic merit and whose nursing career goals and program of study reflect a nursing administration/health policy focus. GlaxoSmithKline — Diabetes Scholarship (OSOTF II)

To be awarded to a student entering the undergraduate nursing program. The candidate(s) will have a minimum of a “B” average, demonstrated financial need, and reside in the province of Ontario. Preference will be given to those students who can demonstrate an interest in diabetes. Apply to the Chair, Awards Committee, Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing.

  • Undergraduate Admissions Award

Glenn H. Carter Graduate Fellowships in Nursing (GSEF)

Incoming or in-course student applicants must meet at least ONE of the following criteria:

  • Master’s students with at least three years full-time employment as an RN working at the bedside
  • Master’s students in the Nurse Practitioner Program with at least three years full-time employment as an RN working at the bedside
  • PhD students with at least five years full-time employment as an RN working at the bedside

Candidates may be considered who do not meet the prerequisites above but are deemed by the faculty to have the equivalent in education and directly related work experience. Award Preferences: In addition to the above prerequisites, preference will be given to students who meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated leadership/supervisory skills and critical thinking
  • Demonstrated interest in preventative health care including, but not limited to, diet, nutrition, exercise and healthy living
  • Demonstrated compassion for persons-in-need with particular reference to the elderly, paediatrics, and veterans

Glenn H. Carter Nursing Fellowship (PPEF)

To be awarded to an PhD student who has practiced as a registered nurse, preferably at the level of a nurse practitioners, whose area of research addresses issues of patient safety and aims to improve the quality of the care environment through building knowledge of effective practices of infection control and hygiene, in health care facilities and in health care generally.

Awarded to students in the second year of the BScN Program, who has demonstrated an interest in global health nursing and will participate in NUR480.

  • Graduating Award

Global Health Education Scholarship (GHES) for Nursing Graduate Students

The faculty has created this scholarship to assist learners with expenses related to course (NUR1115, NUR1215, NUR1116, NUR1216, NUR1117, NUR1217, NUR1110, or NUR1072) practicum learning opportunities with marginalized populations in remote regions of Canada and overseas.
