Zoraida DeCastro Beekhoo instructs in several undergraduate courses, including Complexity: Issues Surrounding Cardiovascular Nursing and Introduction to Acute Care Nursing: Adult. A recipient of multiple U of T Nursing teaching awards, Beekhoo has served as the Co-ordinator of Clinical Education for the BScN Program and as the Interprofessional Education Lead for the Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing.

In 2006, she helped initiate the innovative Agency Based Curriculum (ABC) Program, in which students commit to one hospital for most of their placements. Partners in the program include Mount Sinai Hospital, St. Michael’s Hospital, University Health Network and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
