My passion for caring for children and families is contagious!

Mary Ann Fegan, a paediatric nurse who has developed expertise in neonatal intensive care, teaches U of T Nursing’s Introduction to Nursing Care of Children and Families course.

The Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing recognized her ability to stimulate critical thinking and foster nursing scholarship with a Creative Teaching Award. Fegan also won the Gail J. Donner Award for Excellence in Nursing Education.

Her interest in educating nurses extends to her research. Fegan’s scholarly interests include everything from the validity of online assessments, to nursing students’ preferences for eight- or 12-hour shifts, and the use of innovative technology in the classroom.
