I am passionate about getting to know my diverse students and about introducing arts-based learning approaches to foster learner-centred learning.

Jody Macdonald is an award-winning Lecturer who incorporates visits to the Royal Ontario Museum and other arts-based institutions into her learning strategy. These visits encourage students to transform their impressions of cultures and peoples from around the world and to celebrate diversity.

Her area of expertise is health in the community, and her research, teaching and practice activities focus on creating a culture of peace. Other initiatives include promoting interprofessional/interdisciplinary learning and promoting an awareness of the links between health and the environment.

Macdonald is cross-appointed to the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at U of T.
