Lies, misinformation, and alternative facts: Contending with post-truth in the nursing academy

Dr. Mohammed, RN, MN, PhD, is an Associate Professor, Teaching Stream, and Program Director of the Master of Nursing Program Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in The Department of Psychosocial Oncology and Palliative Care at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, University Health Network. He uses a critical perspective to analyze post-truth in higher education, and also has research interests in palliative care, family caregiver supports, homecare, neoliberalism and health, and critical ethics at the end of life.
