You’re invited to Bloomberg Nursing Rounds, a series of talks featuring our Faculty researchers sharing their work. Our next and final speaker for the 2021-2022 season is Dr. Kim Widger, RN, PhD, CHPCN(C), who will speak about “Pathways to enhanced pediatric palliative care: A program of research improving care of children and families across Canada (and beyond!).”
Dr. Kim Widger is an Associate Professor at the Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing. She holds a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Pediatric Palliative Care, and is a Nursing Research Associate with the Paediatric Advanced Care Team and Project Investigator in the Research Institute at the Hospital for Sick Children, and an Adjunct Scientist in the Lifespan Program at ICES. The overarching goal of Dr. Widger’s program of research is to identify, examine, and enhance the structures, processes, and outcomes of palliative care provided to children living with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
