Student Preparedness Permit Extensions
The result of a file review with one missing requirement will result in a “Fail” status. Students who require extensions 1-5 days after the August 15 deadline should postpone their first file review appointment so that they have all their requirements verified together. Students who require an extension 6 days or more will need to pay for the first file review appointment knowing that they will fail and will need to pay for a subsequent appointment to a “Pass” on their permit. The reason the first file review is necessary is to verify that the one item that is pending is the only missing requirement. In all cases, subsequent appointments are required until students satisfy all the requirements. Requests for extensions must be approved by the Assistant Dean, Academic Programs. An email will typically be sent to you within 3-4 working days from when you submit your request to notify you if an extension has been granted.
Students who have multiple outstanding items that cannot be met by the August 15 deadline may be denied an extension. This jeopardizes their status in their academic program. Students may not be enrolled for the upcoming fall term.
