Bloomberg Nursing Professor Doris Howell has been awarded the 2019 Canadian Association of Nurses in Oncology (CANO) Lifetime Achievement Award. Nominated by her peers for this prestigious award, Dr. Howell was named this year’s recipient in recognition of the incredible impact she’s made to oncology nursing throughout her professional career.
Dr. Howell has an extensive clinical background in cancer care. As a researcher, her main goal is to optimize the quality of cancer care and empower patients as co-producers of health and well-being. At Bloomberg Nursing, Dr. Howell developed the Clinical Nursing Stream – Oncology curriculum in the master’s program.
