Dean’s Scholarship Gives Financial Boost to International Students

7 December 2012

The excitement and desire to study abroad can be overshadowed by the financial resources needed to uproot and move to a new country.  Beginning in 2013, international students moving to Canada for their studies at the faculty have the opportunity to apply for the brand new Dean’s Scholarship.  Committed to ensuring international students focus on their studies, not finances, the Faculty has created three new Dean’s Scholarships that honour the achievements of one undergraduate, one MN/NP and one PhD international student.

In addition, the Bluma Appel Community Trust Award is another opportunity for an international student to receive funding.  The estate from the visionary philanthropist, Bluma Appel, has once again endowed the faculty with a student award, and this one celebrates the achievements of the top PhD students at Bloomberg Nursing.  Created in 2012, this award will have a positive financial impact on international students for years to come.
