Associate Registrar Recognized for Excellence Through Innovation by the University

30 October 2013

Another year, another win for the Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing with a University of Toronto 2013 Excellence Through Innovation Award.   Tammy Chan, the associate registrar of admissions, recruitment and programs for the Faculty was part of a team of a University-wide registrarial staff who developed and implemented the award-winning Registrarial Professional Development (PD) Day.  Chan and her teammates were presented with their award at the President’s home on October 28, 2013.

Chan, along with Elizabeth Bruno (Faculty of Arts & Science), Victoria Hurlihey (School of Graduate Studies), Agnieszka Mroz (Division of Vice-President & Provost), Thomas Nault (Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering) and Douglas Ullrich (Ontario Institute for Studies in Education), worked together In order to connect the registrarial staff from all three campuses.  The day was an outstanding success with over 300 registrants attending and sharing best practices in a number of registrarial fields.

The Excellence Through Innovation Awards recognize the exemplary work done by administrative colleagues across the University of Toronto.  This year, like last year, 109 staff members were recognized for their individual and team contributions to advancing strategic objectives through innovative projects and initiatives.
