Manjit (Manj) Dhanoa-Yasi earned her BScN and MN from the University of Toronto. Her clinical practice expertise is primarily in acute care perinatal nursing. Manj has gained extensive teaching, coaching and mentoring experience in clinical practice settings through a variety of positions held over her almost 3 decade career including staff RN, preceptor, supervisor, manager, educator and clinical instructor. As a former Assistant Professor (Teaching Stream) in the undergraduate program at the Lawrence Bloomberg’s Faculty of Nursing, Manj taught and supported adult learning in the classroom, clinical practice and simulation lab settings. Manj’s teaching scholarship included a funded 2 year project for development of the undergraduate program’s clinical teaching excellence e-learning hybrid program and evidence based best practices in curricular integration of innovative learning strategies such as virtual gaming simulation. As a consultant for the faculty’s Centre for Professional Development, Manj co-developed and co-taught The Foundations and Scholarship of Clinical Teaching Workshops and Course 3: Assessment and Evaluation of this certificate program. Manj holds a certificate in E-learning and is the recipient of the Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing’s Betty Burcher Mentorship Award (2016), Kudos Award (2020) and the Undergraduate Teaching Excellence Award (2021).
