Jennifer Innis NP, PhD is a nurse practitioner with over 25 years experience working in acute care and primary care. in both New York and Toronto. Jennifer has an MA in Nursing and an MA in Psychology from New York University. She completed her PhD in Health Services Research at the University of Toronto in 2016. Her doctoral work focused on health literacy and organizational learning. Her current research is focused on interprofessional education and the use of simulation in education. Jennifer teaches in the undergraduate and the graduate nurse practitioner programs. She continues to practice as a nurse practitioner in primary care at the Canadian Centre for Refugee and Immigrant Healthcare.
