Nurse Practitioner Extended Class Registration Information

|
Dear NP Students and Alumni,
For Current Students
If you are currently enrolled and graduating from our NP program, information has been sent to the College of Nurses of Ontario for your registration in the extended class. You can obtain more information about the process through this CNO website. If you have not received your package from CNO by early March, you should contact Customer Service at 416-928-0900. In order to be eligible to write the RN(EC) exam CNO must receive verification of course completion. All the A forms and the exam application (ANCC –E1 form) are due to CNO by March 16 2012. Please complete the B-3E form and forward it to the NP assistant, Terry Yuen, by April 2012 (date to be announced). We will then complete the form, attach your transcript*, and forward it to CNO on your behalf. Students practicing outside Ontario should contact regulators in your respective provinces regarding the specific process for extended class registration.
For Alumni
As many of you know, the CNO has approved most of our historical programs as equivalent to current NP education programs, but the Fast Track program did not receive approval. There is an alternate pathway for candidates who apply from an education program that is not deemed equivalent. This information is available on the CNO website at (www.cno.org). You must visit the website to register for your extended class package. After completing forms B3E and A6E† you must mail or drop off the signed, original forms to the NP Assistant, Terry Yuen. The Faculty will then forward the documents and your transcript*, which we will obtain, to the CNO on your behalf.
Attn: Terry Yuen Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing Suite 130, 155 College St Toronto, ON M5T 1P8
* Please note that you DO NOT need an official transcript as stated on the CNO form. Sending your completed forms to the NP Assistant will automatically complete your request for a transcript.
Please note that an administration fee of $7 applies for form completion; please follow the step found here and forward your proof of payment to the NP Assistant.
† If form A6E was not included in your CNO package download the form here.
Please continue to be in touch with us if we can provide any further clarification or support of you in this process.
Sincerest regards,
