| Summer Undergradute Student Research Programs |

A number of summer undergraduate student research opportunities are available every year at the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing (LSBFON); funded by the University’s Life Sciences Committee, Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and the LSBFON Bertha Rosenstadt Health Research Fund. The objective of these programs is to provide undergraduate students with the opportunity of working on research projects and undertaking research activities under the supervision of a researcher at the LSBFON. Undergraduate students will acquire experience about the research process and be able to explore their research interests in this program. |

| Eligibility |

Summer undergraduate student research opportunities are provided for period of 12 weeks normally starting in mid June of each year. |
| • |
Applicants must be enrolled in the undergraduate program at the LSBFON, University of Toronto, in the academic year directly prior to the award period. |
| • |
Applicants who have completed their undergraduate program are not eligible. |
| • |
Applicants should have a minimum grade point average of A- (3.7) to be eligible. |
| • |
A stipend of $4,800 will be provided during the 12-week period. |
| • |
Each applicant may submit only ONE application for this program. |
| • |
It is expected that recipients will be notified sometime in April. | |

| Application Procedure |

The application cover sheet. |
| • |
A one-page description which must include the following: Area of research interest; Past experience as a research assistant; and Other related skills, e.g. computer, statistics, etc. |

A current curriculum vitae (no longer than two pages in length). |
| • |
An official academic records of the final GPA (current ROSI print out acceptable). | |
