Admission Requirements - Diploma in Anesthesia Care
Candidates are accepted under the general regulations of the School of Graduate Studies.
Meeting minimal requirements does not ensure admission.
1. Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner Field) Concurrent Diploma in Anesthesia Care
3,900 hours of clinical experience
1,900 hours of clinical experience in a critical care setting (these hours can be part of the 3,900)
current registration in the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing MN-NP program
support of Anesthesiology preceptor
licenced to practice in the Province of Ontario with the College of Nurses of Ontario
application package and supporting documents
completion of the pre-requisite course (this will be offered at the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing in August 2011 for those admitted to the program starting in January 2012. Admitted students will be sent a link to register using our Linking Health Professionals site).
2. Post-Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner Field) Diploma in Anesthesia Care
3,900 hours of clinical experience
1,900 hours of clinical experience in a critical care setting (these hours can be part of the 3,900)
Master of Nursing degree from the University of Toronto or equivalent
Nurse Practitioner certificate and currently registered or eligible for requistration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Nurse Practitioner-Adult or Nurse Practitioner-Child
support of Anesthesiology preceptor
licenced to practice in the Province of Ontario with the College of Nurses of Ontario
application package and supporting documents
