The Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing has traditionally received many more applications for admission to our two year second entry program than the available space. There were approximately 800 applicants for 170 spaces for the September 2011 intake.
The selection of candidates is made through a careful and thorough decision making process by a committee of faculty. This is to ensure that students who are offered admission have both the potential for high academic achievement and a clear indication of aptitude and capability to be successful in this program.
Each of the applications is reviewed carefully and individually. In some cases successful applicants have remarkably impressive strengths in some areas yet demonstrate room for potential further growth in others.
The requirements for entry into this program, as listed in the admission process indicate the minimum prerequisites. In fact, almost all students offered admission for September 2011 had qualifications far above the minimum requirements. | |
