Preceptor recruitment efforts for the MN-NP programs launched

22 October 2014

Enrolment in the Master of Nursing – Nurse Practitioner program has been rising in recent years, with students enrolling in this online program from across Canada. The program is offered in a hybrid format, with three residency periods in Toronto, combined with online learning and practicum placements close to student’s homes, all fostered in a learning environment distinguished by academic excellence and research.

The demand for preceptors for the program has risen alongside enrolment, and with the generous financial assistance of Manulife Financial, Bloomberg Nursing produced a new preceptor recruitment video, to be used at conferences, meetings, and distributed to our clinical partners across Canada. “The demand for quality preceptors is high,” states Assistant Professor Monica Parry, Director, NP Programs. “Any efforts we can make to increase the number of preceptors available to us serves only to improve the experience of our NP students and the quality of their education.”

Bloomberg Nursing is grateful to Manulife Financial for their support of this recruitment project.
