December 10, 1926 – November 7, 2009
Wife of Myron W. (Bill) Laidlaw and Allan J Scott (deceased). Devoted mother of Martha (David Northcote), Allan (Brigitte Ernewein), Julia (Bill Watson), Robert, and Norah (Brian Blackley). Loving Nana of 14 grandchildren. Predeceased by her brother Ewart Usher and his wife Pat. Joan will be remembered for her devotion to her family, as a good friend to many, and for her community service. We will miss her love, energy, wit, and wisdom.
A reception celebrating of her life will take place Saturday November 14, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Trull ”North Toronto” Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 2704 Yonge Street (five blocks south of Lawrence Avenue). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Royal Ontario Museum, or the Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto would be appreciated.
