Annual dean’s welcome breakfast provides healthy diet of food and conversation
Each year, after having about a month to settle in to the program and their initial clinical placements, first-year BScN students are invited to the dean's welcome breakfast. The informal gathering held in the student lounge provides an opportunity for the dean to meet and talk with incoming students, learn about their studies and experiences prior to enrolling, discover their motivations for applying to the Faculty, and simply get to know them on a personal level. On October 4th, Acting Dean Linda McGillis Hall hosted the event, with a menu of various breakfast items and light conversation on offer, as students stopped by to chat and grab an all-important cup of coffee before heading to class. Now everyone who attended can put a face to a name and feel a little more connected.
Thanks to all those who attended.
