The International Office (IO) of the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto supports the internationalization of nursing and promotes global health by facilitating research, education and practice in global health nursing. The International Office creates, facilitates, integrates and coordinates initiatives on global health by harnessing the expertise of faculty members and international partners. The office provides a forum for information and innovative thinking about global health issues, with particular regard to nurses' contribution to global health. The office also promotes equitable, sustainable and long-term partnerships to enhance the effectiveness of nursing and interdisciplinary research, education and practice.

The International Office (IO) provides a focus to the faculty's international strategic initiatives. The IO works to capture strategic global health priorities and responds to the increasing interest in global health and international nursing form our students and international colleagues by:
- Enhancing global reach and reputation through the development of international scholarly and scientific collaborations and to support faculty to build their network of international colleagues;
- Providing international professional leadership; and
- Fostering the ethos of global citizenship among students and faculty
