For both oral and poster presentations, completed projects and works-in-progress will be accepted. Abstracts should be a maximum of 250 words and should follow the following format: Background, Method, Results, Discussion. | ||||||||

Each presenter will have 10 minutes for a short PowerPoint presentation followed by a 3 minute question period. A chairperson will be present during each session. | ||||||||
| ||||||||
|
Posters will be showcased on Friday, May 22, 2009 from 10:30-11:00 a.m. during an innovative session entitled Crazy Minutes and displayed during Saturday’s Poster Session. Posters will be mounted on poster boards in the Great Hall on Friday evening. Posters will be on display for the duration of Saturday, May 23, 2009. Poster Dimensions: 4 ft. width x 3 ft. height
Presenters will also be asked to be available by their poster board for a few minutes during breaks to answer questions. One student poster and one faculty poster will be awarded “Best Poster Award.” | ||||||||

Two one-hour panel discussions will take place. Proposals for panel discussions are welcome. Abstracts should be a maximum of 500 words and should follow the following format: Background, Brief Presenters Biographic Information, Points of Interactivity, Take-home Message. | ||||||||

Talking Circles will give participants the chance to exchange ideas about good practices and initiatives that they wish to implement in their own institutions, form collaborative networks, and share success stories in research and innovation. Abstracts should be a maximum of 500 words and should follow the following format: Background, Learning Objectives, Delivery, Points of Interactivity. | ||||||||

Workshops of 90 minutes’ duration will be scheduled for Friday and Saturday. Presenters will be contacted individually to discuss requirements. Successful abstracts are welcome to submit full papers for publication in the peer-reviewed Journal of Health Professions Education. | ||||||||
