DESCRIPTION

This two-day, hands-on course is designed for experienced Critical Care health professionals as an opportunity to advance and challenge their clinical practice knowledge and keep “up-to-date” with rapidly evolving critical care competencies. The course will make full use of the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing’s Simulation Lab to bring you a variety of learning experiences and hands-on practice. The course aims to:

• Facilitate continuing competency in critical care nursing at an advanced level
• Enhance the uptake of new evidence based knowledge into practice 
• Provide access to interdisciplinary experts in critical care 
• Enhance critical thinking and decision making for complex clinical situations 
• Facilitate nurses’ ability to articulate their practice and rationale for decision making

• Advanced registration is required. You must register by Thursday, April 19, 2012. No on-site registration at the event.
• Registration is limited.
• Alumni discount is available to participants who hold a BScN, MN, PMNP Diploma, MScN or PhD from the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing, University of Toronto.
• Individuals: Please register online.
• Groups: Please contact us caspp.nursing@utoronto.ca to take advantage of the discount for site groups of four or more.
• This course is an integrated two-day program. One-day registrations are not available. 
• Applicable taxes (13% HST) will be added to the registration fees.
• Refunds (less a $50 administration fee) are available if requested by April 13, 2012.
